Hindu Chintamani Wish stones
AGNI MANITITE OBSIDIAN
AGNI MANITITE gets its name from the term “Agni Mani” meaning “pearl of the divine fire” in ancient Sanskrit. The stones were formed around 700,000 years ago in the largest volcanic eruption in the last two million years and one of the largest volcanic eruptions in the history of the Earth in Sumatra Indonesia. The stones themselves are mostly found in Java. While often incorrectly sold as “tektites” they are volcanic glass and are actually Volcanic Obsidian.
Agni Manitite stones are believed to be a type of Chintamani stone – a wish-fulfilling jewel resembling a pearl described in Ancient Hindu and Mahayana Buddhist literature. Agni Manitite is a very unusual form of Obsidian much rougher and coarse than the normal shiny glossy sharp forms that Obsidian usually comes in. They also generally come in small nodules (Or “Pearls”) rather than big chunks.
New age properties are that it boosts willpower, creativity, and helps overcome feelings of helplessness. It stimulates the Solar Plexus chakra.
