A prophecy stone is a rare iron oxide pseudomorphic stone where Limonite and Hematite has replaced Marcasite and Pyrite. It has a modular, spiky type shape. It is only found in the White Desert (Sahara el Beyda) in Western Egypt. Millions of years ago this was an ocean floor and the white rock is the remains of marine microorganisms. Over time wind and sand erosion have made the desert look like it is from another planet. The white desert is a unique place, nothing like you will find anywhere else in the world. Coincidentally, Libyan desert Glass is also found in this area.
