Note that there is a repair on this tooth. This is common and many Mosasaur teeth have repairs because the tooth is much softer than the surrounding matrix and is very difficult to cut out.
Cretaceous age Mosasaur Tooth from Morocco. It is between 80 and 66 million years old. It was dug out of the phosphate mines in Morocco.
Mosasaur's lived (And died out) with the Dinosaurs. They grew to twenty meters in length with a two meter mouth and were apex predators that would have terrorized the cretaceous seas.
In one of the Jurassic Park movies a Mosasaur jumps out of a theme park aquarium and eats a shark whole.
